Snowy Recess Reminders

Parents, Just a reminder that all children will be expected to go outside for recess on days that the temperature is above 20 degrees. Please dress your child accordingly. Boots and snow pants are required for playing on any snow hills we have in the parking lot, so please pack them. We also find that an extra pair of socks tucked into boots makes for warmer feet in the afternoon.

The Kneeling Santa

Just found this…someone sent it to me last year but I forgot to pass it on. I thought it was nice enough to share. Have a blessed Christmas!

KNEELING SANTA PRAYER

The sleigh was was all packed, the reindeer were fed,
But Santa still knelt by the side of his bed,
“Dear Father, ” he prayed, “Be with me tonight.
There’s much work to do and my schedule is tight.
My sack will hold toys to grant all kids’ wishes.
The supply will be endless like the loaves and the fishes.
I can do all these things, Lord, only through You.
I just need your blessing, then it’s easy to do.
I do this only to honor the birth of the One,
That was sent to redeem us, Your most Holy Son.
So to all of my friends, lest Your glory I rob,
Please, Lord, remind them who gave me this job.”

Socks for St. Nick and Holiday Bureau

socksOur St. Nicholas bag of stockings is growing! A reminder that Friday is the last day to bring in socks to donate for the Holiday Bureau. Think of all the warm toasty toes you can provide for this Christmas.

While I am at it, I have noticed that our Holiday Bureau boxes that sit outside of the classrooms are looking pretty sad and pitiful. Consider going through your cupboards tonight and donating any items you might have more than one of  to the Bureau.  Non-perishable food items,  detergent, deodorant, shampoo, paper products, toothpaste! All of these things do so much to help the Holiday Bureau. Of course, monetary donations are always welcome. Tomorrow is the last day to donate to the Holiday Bureau so let’s do our best to stock them up.
